Family owned and managed for over 40 years Zagone Masks and Costumes continues to design, innovate and manufacture right here in the U.S.A. Featuring the sculpts of Bill Ystrom (known as BY B.Y.) Zagone Studios has developed and originated multi lines of super soft latex, ultra-comfortable head sock and moving mouth harness masks. Our masks are great fitting while maintaining true to life, beautiful and intricate sculpts. We don’t sell masks, we sell characters. Here you will find some of the best fitting masks in the world. All photos are actual production masks. No "touched up" artist paint jobs - what you see is the quality you will get!

We don't just sell rubber Halloween masks. We sell characters. Our retail partners are just as proud of the fun they and our end user customers have with our masks as they are with the proven sales. Be sure to note that many of our masks are enhanced by our comfortable costumes. Both our masks and costumes are designed so that a person can easily wear them for extended periods of time.

Almost 40 years of innovation and creativity make Zagone Studios products the best in the industry. Our masks are made by hand in the Zagone Chicagoland factory.

Our History

In 1974, Phil and Bob Zagone decided to make the best Halloween masks possible. They hired a young artist, Bill Ystrom, whose creativity and talent helped them realize their vision. They put Phil’s 3 sons – Phil Jr., Tony and Rich – to work. The company they built became the industry leader in premium Halloween masks.

In 2005, Phil Jr., Tony, and Rich along with Bill Ystrom (known as BY B.Y.) joined to form Zagone Studios. Zagone Studios is producing the next generation of innovative and high-quality Halloween products.

The team behind Zagone Studios (which includes BY B.Y.) are

Care of Masks

Latex can be washed with diluted mild soap such as dish washing liquid by dabbing the area and then dabbing it with a clean wet rag to rinse it clean. Sometimes the inside of the mask will want to stick to itself if it is washed, a very light coat of corn starch can prevent this if necessary.

Oil based make up, removers and creams should not be used on latex products as it will shorten the life of the latex. Non-oil based make up should be fine.

We recommend that clean newspaper be put in the mask for storage, Be careful to mold the paper/mask into the original shape especially by the eyes. Store in a cool dark place out of direct sun light and extreme temperatures.
